Room
By
Emma Donoghue

Wonderful, incredible, sublime, adjectives fail when it comes to describing this fabulous, entirely original book.
At first I mistakely thought that the subject matter would be depressing and sad. However Emma Donoghue's novel, leaves you feeling uplifted and totally in love with a little five year old "man" called Jack.

We see the world/his world through Jack's eyes, his voice and his innocence. Jacks love for his Ma and her unfailing love for him dominate the story, and from every page Jack's imagination shines out .

Emma Donoghue, is a wonderful writer with an amazing gift to paint pictures in your head with her stunning use of language.

I strongly recommend this book...such an antidote to the doom and gloom all around.
Utterly brilliant and thought provoking Jack and his Ma,  and Room,
will stay  with you long after you have finished. I would suggest like me you read it a second time as the first time you miss a lot of the wonderful language, so engrossed are you in the story.
