Solace of the Road By Siobhan O'Dowd.

OLDER TEENS 15+
Memories of her Mam are the only thing that make, 15 year old Holly Hogan happy. Holly hates her life. She resents her foster family and their overcloying sympathy. School is a miserable place and Holly feels that the whole world is against her.
When Holy finds a long blonde wig she feels transformed. No longer is she Holly but Solace, a girl who is not afraid to take on the world.Being Solace gives Holly confidence.
Holly/Solace decides to runaway to Ireland to find her mother.
This is a story of childhood neglect and a bittersweet and sometimes hilarious journey. The journey is well told and Holly's story will leave a great impression.
SiobhanO'Dowd, once again in this novel displays her mastery of the plot. Readers will enjoy this, well written, sometimes painfully truthful story.
